We are a small, dedicated team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets, all working together to create a warm and welcoming space for every child.

At Luminous, we don’t claim to be the best. But what we do best is make kids feel at home, like it’s their second family.

More than just making them feel at home, we care deeply about their safety and nutrition. We believe growing is only as good as what fuels them. Growing bright minds isn’t just about the children — it also reflects our vision to expand into a licensed daycare facility in the near future.

Desiree

Owner & Childcare Program Lead

Desiree is the owner of Luminous Dayhome and our lead early childhood educator. She's known for her calm, caring nature that helps kids feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from Centro Escolar University in the Philippines and holds units of master's level studies. In Canada, she also earned a diploma in Business Administration with IT and a certificate in Early Childhood Education.

With her warm personality and strong background in both education and childcare, Desiree leads our daily program with heart and purpose — making sure every child is supported, engaged, and growing at their own pace

Chessie - Early Childhood Educator

Chessie is a caring Level 2 Early Childhood Educator who is passionate about helping children learn, grow, and build confidence through play. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the Philippines and brings valuable classroom teaching experience.
Chessie proudly works with KP Squared Innovative Childcare Centre and Luminous Dayhome, providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for every child.
Decel - Early Childhood Educator

Decel is a dedicated Early Childhood Educator with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, major in English, from the Philippines.
She is currently pursuing her Early Learning and Child Care studies at Keyano College and is committed to creating a caring and engaging environment where children can learn and grow.
Meriam - Early Childhood Educator

Meriam is a compassionate Early Childhood Educator with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the Philippines.
She is currently pursuing Child and Youth Care studies at Keyano College, strengthening her ability to support children's emotional well-being, positive behaviour, and healthy social development in a nurturing environment.
Carla - Early Childhood Educator

As a mother of two, Carla brings warmth, patience, and understanding to every child she cares for. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the Philippines and is committed to creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.
Renica - Early Childhood Educator

Renica is a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator and Registered Nurse with over 10 years of healthcare experience.
Her unique background allows her to support children's learning, health, and overall well-being while creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can thrive.
Jullian - Business Development

As Co-Founder of Luminous Dayhome, Jullian is committed to continuous improvement in every aspect of the childcare experience.
His vision is to build a trusted early learning environment today while laying the foundation for a future purpose-built childcare centre that will serve generations of Fort McMurray families.
