We are a small, dedicated team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets, all working together to create a warm and welcoming space for every child.

At Luminous, we don’t claim to be the best. But what we do best is make kids feel at home, like it’s their second family.

More than just making them feel at home, we care deeply about their safety and nutrition. We believe growing is only as good as what fuels them. Growing bright minds isn’t just about the children — it also reflects our vision to expand into a licensed daycare facility in the near future.

Desiree

Owner & Childcare Program Lead

Desiree is the owner of Luminous Dayhome and our lead early childhood educator. She's known for her calm, caring nature that helps kids feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from Centro Escolar University in the Philippines and holds units of master's level studies. In Canada, she also earned a diploma in Business Administration with IT and a certificate in Early Childhood Education.

With her warm personality and strong background in both education and childcare, Desiree leads our daily program with heart and purpose — making sure every child is supported, engaged, and growing at their own pace

Meet the Team

Chessie - Assistant Childhood Educator

Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in the Philippines. Has several years of experience as a subject teacher and class advisor. Currently working as an Early Childhood Educator while continuing her studies in Early Learning and Childcare in Canada.
Decel - Assistant Childhood Educator

Earned her degree in Secondary Education, major in English, in the Philippines. With a background in teaching high school students, Decel is now focused on early childhood education and is currently studying for her Early Learning and Childcare Diploma.
Meriam - Assistant Childhood Educator

Graduated from Cebu Normal University in the Philippines, with a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education, major in Mathematics. With years of experience teaching math and supervising classes from grades 4 to 10, she is now working as an Early Childhood Educator and studying Child and Youth Care at Keyano College.
Dody - Dayhome Assistant

Brings years of experience as a dedicated nanny, with a deep understanding of childcare routines and nurturing care.
Carla - Assistant Childhood Educator

With multiple degrees including a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries from the Philippines. She also completed 18 units in Secondary Education and brings teaching-related experience from her role as a Cooperative Development Specialist, where she conducted community trainings and educational sessions. Now based in Canada, she is a certified Early Childhood Educator and plans to pursue Early Learning and Childcare studies to further upgrade her qualifications. She is currently enrolled in a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration Accounting at Keyano College while actively working and volunteering in the community goes here.
Jullian - Owner & Business Development VP

Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a dual major in Marketing Management from the Philippines, and a Canadian diploma in Business Administration with IT. Certified Six Sigma White Belt. Former Marketing Specialist at Maersk, with strong expertise in business strategy and growth.
Leads business and marketing efforts with plans to grow the dayhome into a licensed facility-based daycare.
